16th October 2016 Windsurfing: Rhosneigr Wind Direction: S Wind Stength: F6 Surf / Sea State: waves Air Temperature: 15 Sea Temperature: 14.4 Weather: cloud then sun Max Speed: Distance Covered: About 15 out as I arrived and rigged 86l/4,7m tri and did my first front side. Plenty to improve on. More arrived and after half an hour tried quad set up. Even better upwind, litle more settled in chop on some waves which helped, and longer carves - just like the book says. Some waves were biggest I have sailed, mast high I guess and don't know why so big as first Southerly for a while. Got a few rinses and stuck in surf several times. Big wave pushed me under and was first time that's happened to me. Some great rides down waves across the bay. Tiring as always doing something. Brian out too and said he will get better gear after 6 months in Alps. I need to read wave patterns better to get out easier, and try more DTL after watching other. Would have been 5* if less rinses. |
